Peter Hayden and Dr. Gal Luft as Special Advisors to Water Chef

PETER HAYDEN AND DR. GAL LUFT TO JOIN THE ADVISORY BOARD OF WATER CHEF, INC.

Melville, New York, April 1st, 2008- Leslie J. Kessler, President and Chief Executive Officer, Water Chef, Inc.
is pleased to announce the appointments of Chief Peter Hayden and Dr. Gal Luft to the Advisory Board of the Company.


Chief Hayden

was the Division Commander of the 1st Division of the NYFD at the time of the World Trade Center attacks. As the incident commander, he led the rescue and recovery operations at Ground Zero, formulating strategy and daily operational plans, while supervising and directing approximately, 1500 firefighters and emergency service personnel.

In November 2001, Chief Hayden was designated Assistant Chief of Operations for the FDNY.

On June 27, 2004, Chief Hayden was promoted to the 32nd Chief of Department. He served at this position, as the highest ranking uniform member of the FDNY, until his retirement in June of 2006.

Chief Hayden lectures across the country to First Responders Organizations on subjects relating to Homeland Security and Preparedness.


Dr. Gal
Luft
is executive director of the Institute for the Analysis of global Security (IAGS), a Washington based think tank focused on energy security and co-founder of the Set America Free Coalition, an alliance of national security, environmental, labor and religious groups promoting ways to reduce Americas dependence on foreign oil. He specializes in strategy, geopolitics, terrorism, energy security and economic warfare.

Dr. Luft is a Board member of the Global Water Trust, a California based organization dedicated to providing potable drinking water to people in need.

Newsweek Magazine called him a tireless and independent advocate of energy security, the business magazine Poder called him one of the most recognizable figures in modern energy and security issues, and Esquire Magazine included him in its 2007 list of Americas Best and Brightest.

Dr. Luft has published numerous studies and articles on security and energy issues in various newspapers and publications such as Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The American Interest, Commentary Magazine, Middle East Quarterly, LA Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. He appears frequently in the media and consults to various think tanks and news organizations worldwide.

Dr. Luft testified before committees of the U.S. Congress, including Senate Foreign Relations, House International Relations, House Science and the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. He is a board member of the Center for Energy Defense and a member of the Society of Industry Leaders, the Committee on the Present Danger and other non-profit groups. He holds degrees in international relations, international economics, Middle East studies and strategic studies and a doctorate in strategic studies from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS,) Johns Hopkins University.


As Ms. Kessler has stated, These appointments will add more valuable resources to the Company, at a time when Water Chef is amidst advanced preparation towards entering an operational stage, upon completion of the R&D phase of Water Chefs PureSafe, First Response, patent pending technology.
